The winter has ended so we resume our efforts with the Crusade for the Unborn Child ."If something bad exists within our midst, we must not be indifferent to it". These words bounce like a boomerang off the lips of our Bishop Nicholas DiMarzio and the Auxiliary Bishops every month at the monthly Crusade for the Unborn Child. As long as our government leaders make laws and regulations in support of abortion, a modern holocaust on a grand scale, we cannot be passive. As true Christians we must respond with a grand scale initiative, especially at the parish level.
During his term, the late Missionary Fr. Jan Sobótka, founder and chaplain of the Pro-Life Group of Maksymilian Kolbe, following the example of our hierarchy, organized Rosary Services to fight the return of abortion clinics to Greenpoint. He fought to end abortion in our community. Those who were taking lives instead of saving them move do a different location. Actually, to date, the number of abortion clinics on the east coast has fallen to half. Unfortunately, due mainly to the use of the abortion pill. In fact, the role of the abortion clinics was taken over (not totally), by the pharmacies and doctors without honor and faith who issue these death causing prescriptions. For that reason, we must fire up a strong effort to participate in the Fight for Life
To begin, we must organize a pilgrimage to a former abortion clinic in Greenpoint, in memory of those children who were murdered there. The late owner, with the Grace of God and our prayers, stopped doing these murderous procedures and left this world reconciled with God!
